CUPRA Born is now available with the 77 kWh battery
The CUPRA Born is an electric compact conceived from the outset as a sporty alternative to the Volkswagen ID.3 , a model with which it shares a platform, mechanical parts, and structure. This more performance-oriented character was made clear when, after its presentation, it was confirmed that it would have versions with 231 hp (170 kW) of power (its brother is currently limited to 204 hp). At the time of its launch, CUPRA announced that the Born would be available in four versions : 150 hp (110 kW) and 45 kWh, 204 hp (150 kW) and 58 kWh, 231 hp (170 kW) and 58 kWh, and 231 HP (170 kW) and 77 kWh. However, during the first bars of its commercial life, only the 204 hp variant has been marketed.
