Bugatti completes 80% of Chiron production

At the same time that Bugatti engineers are already working on the replacement for the hypercar, the production of the Bugatti Chiron continues its course. The French firm, which has all the products sold, has already completed 80 percent, with an exceptional unit of the exclusive Bugatti Chiron Super Sport.

The exclusive Bugatti Chiron was presented in 2016. Then, the French brand announced the limited production of 500 units, which practically flew among the wealthiest customers in the world, thanks to the brutal change it underwent aesthetically compared to the Veyron. The most luxurious French brand of the Volkswagen group has already completed 80 percent of the model’s production.

The 400th unit has just left the production, and there are still a hundred more to reach their new owners, who cannot be in a hurry because the manufacturer needs two months to manufacture it by hand. And up to a year -or two years- if the client is so exquisite and requires unique customization. Precisely, the case of the owner of this last manufactured unit of the Chiron Super Sport, in which thousands of hours have been invested.

A creation that is presented in an attractive and elegant dark green color, which has up to eight layers of paint, each one polished by hand, on the carbon fiber bodywork, revealing the patterns of the light material that flow perfectly between the different panels. This special unit also features magnesium alloy wheels and special details on the engine cover or wheel caps bearing the initials of Ettore Bugatti, the founder of the brand.

The exterior styling is echoed in a true luxury interior combining the finest black Beluga leather on the seats, with diamond quilting on the bench and backrests, and dark green on the sides, and headrests – with embroidery of the version of the French sports car – and in the transmission tunnel and door panels. Exposed carbon fiber is also present, on the steering column and the instrument panel dome. A special detail is the panoramic glass roof.

The Chiron Super Sport will offer its owner first-rate dynamic sensations, thanks to the powerful 8.0-liter 16-cylinder W gasoline engine that is blown by four turbochargers, generating maximum power of 1,600 hp and as many Nm in the torque, exploding between 2,000 and 7,000 rpm. With all-wheel drive and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the French beast reaches a top speed of 440 km/h.
